2 Tips on How to Keep Your Boat Vinyl in Pristine Condition

2 tips to keeping your boat vinyl looking pristine and avoid premature aging.

Everyone wants to keep their boat looking new and/or pristine. However, along this journey they end up using the wrong products and do more damage than anticipated. Regular care and maintenance is important, I absolutely agree and encourage that level of investment. However, using household products to keep it clean will never work.

You are bound to come across mold spots and dirt on your vinyl. You'll be temped to use products such as Mr. Clean magic eraser (as I have seen this before).

STOP!!! This is NOT recommend!

Why? The magic eraser will strip the protected coating on the vinyl. Therefore leaving the vinyl susceptible to further damage and premature aging.

Here are 2 tips to keeping your vinyl pristine.

Tip #1 - 303 Vinyl Cleaner

This is one of my go to vinyl cleaners. It's great because it provides the ultimate protection including UV protection. It protects the vinyl helping it look newer for longer. In addition it prevents fading and cracking and restores lost color and luster.

Tip #2 - Use Mild Detergent

Use a mild detergent. This is typically achieved with mixing the detergent with water into a spray bottle.
